Plane

The best way to get to Sassari by plane is to fly into the Alghero-Fertilia Airport and then take a bus or taxi to Sassari. Airlines that fly to Alghero-Fertilia include Ryanair, EasyJet, and Alitalia.

Car

If one is driving from the south of Sassari, they can take the SS131 road which leads from Cagliari to Sassari. However, if one is coming from the north, the SS131 merges with the SS131dir.

Train

Currently, there is no direct train to Sassari. However, one can take a train from Rome to Olbia and then take a bus or taxi to Sassari.

Boat

Sassari is situated inland and therefore, there is no direct boat service to the city. The closest port to Sassari is the Port of Porto Torres, and one can take a taxi or bus from there to Sassari.

Bus

The best way to get to Sassari by bus is to take a Sardinia Express bus from Cagliari or Alghero. They have frequent services daily.
